Houston Shakespeare Fest (Scenic Paint and Props)

Houston's Shakespeare Festival is a large theatrical event, free to the public, that happens every summer with 2 different Shakespeare plays (usually a tragedy and a comedy) performed in repertory. This means the 2-story deck used for the event's stage has to be easy to transition between shows (within 2 hours usually), and contain a dramatic enough color scheme that it can be understood from the back of the amphitheater's lawn section.

I painted, assembled, and upholstered the chairs, painted the skull, and I cut, built, and painted the table for "Hamlet" as well as made sure all the furnishings, and the set (including the truss work) were a consistent matte-black color.

For "Comedy of Errors" I painted the vibrant walls and assisted with the floor paint, which was to be used in both shows.
