Below is a backdrop I painted for Christian Youth Theatre's production of "Singing in the Rain" in Fall of 2019.
I worked with the technical director to figure out where the middle part would be in the 2 flats and suggested we add a foam "column" to hide the separation. So we ended up with an entry to an apartment building next to a grocery building. These are both flat walls aside from the added foam awning on top.
I sketched out what it should look like on paper and then added the outline to the walls so I could teach a CYT student how to do the painting.
Below is a "marble" fireplace I painted for "Monsieur Choufleri" at the University of Houston's Fall opera in 2023. The designer decided during tech they wanted the fireplace to be marble and asked me to come in and do it very quickly between a morning and evening tech. I ended up doing it in about an hour so it had time to dry before they needed it.
Below is scenic paint I did for Houston's Shakespeare Festival for their 2018 season. I did the paint matching to the designer's watercolor elevations and brought them to reality on the sets as well as assisted with the color treatment on the flooring.
