This is a puppet I made from foam, cardboard, and faux fur. I cut out a pattern, traced it onto the foam and fur, glued the foam and stitched the fur together. I then sewed on some arms I made of foam sticks and the fur, and fashioned some ears out of the fur and attached those as well. Then I glued on fabric for the throat and tongue and googley eyes to finish my little Oliver.
Above are some totally user-safe spears I created for an opera. Both have dull blades and rounded tips so it was safe for the actors and the set, yet looked realistic on stage. The spear heads and butt caps I ordered online and bought the pole separately and sanded down the edges until I could seat all the pieces together with an epoxy.
A giant ball of yarn I made for "cats" to play with onstage
This mask is made of leather and once again I created a pattern on paper, transferred to the leather, cut it out, shaped it, painted it and attached the ears separately.
Above is a pillow critter made from polar fleece. I created a pattern on paper, traced it onto the fleece and sewed it together.
